SLG, LLC in New York provides general contracting services to ‘prime’ subcontractors on city and state funded infrastructure projects. These ‘prime’ subcontractors are generally large HVAC and electrical companies who work in the public and private sectors.

It is our job to analyze the project in its totality. We identify the ancillary work, estimate the costs, determine the schedule, then hire and manage the necessary trades. In the larger scheme, the work we do is a small portion of the overall job, hence the owners’ (e.g. NYPA) use of a ‘prime’, yet it is indispensable for the successful completion of our clients’ projects. Although ‘primes’ are very good at doing their specific trade (e.g. HVAC), they desperately need a firm such as ours to handle the work they have little, or no, experience doing.

Because these projects oftentimes have MBE utilization requirements, SLG, LLC has obtained the MBE Designation as a General Contractor in New York City, and endeavors to identify and hire the top MBE subcontractors in their respective trades to help maximize our clients’ ability to meet these requirements.

Residential Division

SLG, LLC provides the same General Contracting and Management services for Residential Clients, where our residential construction projects tend to be high-end luxury renovations in the $1-2 million range. We apply the same attention to overseeing the Prime subcontractors and managing schedules and budgets; the difference comes in the area of specialization for these subcontractors.

As the exclusive distributor of UFS Fabric Structures in this region, SLG is poised to lead area companies in this new style of construction. Using tough new materials that can be erected in a fraction of the time of a traditional building, SLG aims to help its clients and the environment by developing these projects.
